As part of the ceremony, Owen's son, Chadd, shares his thoughts.
"I mean, I'm so excited, in a way, and so hurt in another, that we do get to call this Sergeant Steve Owen Park. I told myself I wasn't going to cry, but I probably will. I really do look forward to the day my wife and I and my brother, when we have kids that we get to go to grandpa's park,” said Chadd Owen.
More than 100 people attended the unveiling ahead of the evening's "Frog Fest" celebration, a play off Owen's nickname, "Bullfrog."
