GEORGETOWN, Texas — The hearing for a new "person of interest" in the child sex assault case that sent a Leander high school football star to prison has been rescheduled.
A probation revocation hearing for Johnathan McCarty was set for Tuesday, but he didn't show up.
McCarty is a new development in the sex assault case that was recently re-opened.

A jury convicted former Leander student Greg Kelley of molesting a young boy in 2014, but the case was reopened this May after Williamson County District Attorney Shawn Dick announced a new, alternative suspect in the case.
That suspect, McCarty, was a friend of Kelley.
McCarty's hearing is rescheduled for August 30.
Last month Kelley was moved from a state prison to the Williamson County Jail. He'll be back in court August 3.
He's served 3 years of a 25-year sentence.
