Assemblyman Ron Castorina is elected Staten Island's new GOP chairman
Castorina won support of his fellow Republican's Wednesday Night in a unanimous vote.
His name was the only one nominated by county committee members. Castorina says he believes he can reinvigorate the party.
"I feel that I have something to offer the party, I think I can really light the fire, and really enthusiastically bring back that maybe people that maybe have not been part of the party in a while, and really to help us elect republicans."
Castorina takes over from John Antoniello who resigned in February after serving for nearly four years.
