AUSTIN, Texas — I-35 in north Austin is now open after police shut down several exits for over an hour early this morning.
A man was taken into Austin Police Department’s custody after a suicide attempt.
Shortly after midnight, officers responded to a call saying that someone was on the ledge of the overpass on the freeway.
Police recognized the person and was able to help him down safely.
He is currently is undergoing a mental evaluation.
