Amazon is teaming up with Goodwill to encourage more donations.

The online retail giant announced donors can now use the "Give Back Box" platform to ship donations to Goodwill for free.

New and gently used household items and clothing can be sent using Amazon boxes.

UPS and the US Postal Service are both offering free shipping.

Amazon says donations will go to your nearest participating Goodwill organization. The sales revenues support local job placement, training and other community-based services.

Other online retailers like Overstock and Newegg also support the Give Back Box and asks customers to use their empty boxes to send donations to Goodwill.
