AUSTIN, Texas — The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, or CAMPO, has approved an additional $204 million in state funding for a project to build nine overpasses on Loop 360.

That is in addition to $46 million from the City of Austin. That local match is made possible through the $720 million bond package Austin voters approved Nov. 8.

CAMPO plans to recommend other projects related to the Mobility 35 program which aims at improving I-35.

Almost $120 million of the funding will go toward improvements between Rundberg and U.S. 290.

The Texas Department of Transportation is now expected to make its recommendations at its meeting in January.
