Residents and staff at The Eger Foundation are celebrating 100 years.
The nursing home opened in Brooklyn in 1916 and moved to Staten Island for more space in 1926.
Today Eger has a rehabilitation center as well as an assisted living facility for seniors.

"When he passed, this compassionate guy gave $60,000 to his sister and the trustees, the then people in the church into homes to care for the elderly," said Eger CEO David Rose.
"My medical needs are met. I never have to worry," said Eger Resident Melody Grady.
To celebrate 100 years, the foundation is hosting an Anniversary Ball Saturday Night.
