AUSTIN, Texas — Polls are reporting the presidential race continues to tighten in Texas, and Hillary Clinton is taking notice.

The democratic presidential nominee opened a new campaign headquarters on Sunday in Austin.

The Travis County Democratic Party hosted a picnic to celebrate the new location.

Hillary supporters say the new headquarters means a lot for Texas Democrats since donations for the state's democratic party are relatively rare.

One supporter says they've been working to recruit more voters for Hillary over the past two years.

"We know Austin is this supposedly this blueberry in this big tomato soup but I'm from El Paso so we know El Paso, the Valley, There's blueberries all over this state. And so we're trying to mobilize those people," said Margie Medrano.

The office is located at I-35 and Holly Street and will host meetings for volunteers and organizers.
