When Nihar Janga won a share of the Scripps National Spelling Bee Championship in May, he celebrated by imitating Dallas Cowboys' receiver, Dez Bryant, and “threw up the X.”

The Cowboys noticed, and invited the Leander fifth grader to come meet his idol.

Nihar hung out at Valley Ranch Wednesday, and called the experience the best day of his life.

"My favorite part of today was touring the place with Dez, it was really fun," Janga said.

”Did you ask him to spell any words?,” a reporter asked.

"I asked him to spell quillon, it was one word Dr. Bailey asked in the Scripps National Spelling bee," Janga continued.

”Did he do it?” the reporter asked.

"No," said Janga, laughing.

Scripps declared Janga and 13-year-old Jairam Hathwar co-champions after they completed 24 rounds of spelling.

Since his big win, Janga has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and got to ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
