AUSTIN—More than 4.5 million pounds of chicken products are being recalled because of contamination concerns.

USDA officials say fully-cooked nuggets, patties and tenders from Pilgrim's Pride may have plastic, wood, rubber and metal in the meat.

The Waco-based company sold the contaminated products under the Gold Kist Farm, Pierce and Sweet Georgia brands. Pilgrim's Pride found out about the problem earlier this month when customers reported finding plastic in the nuggets.
