AUSTIN—Evangelist Franklin Graham made a stop at the Texas Capitol on Tuesday.
The son of famed evangelist Billy Graham is in the midst of a nationwide Decision America 2016 tour.
While he didn't tell Texans who to vote for this election cycle, he spoke about guiding principles of what he would like to see in a Presidential candidate. Graham told the crowd no political party can change the current state of America, and said he has zero hope in both the Democratic and Republican parties.
“The only hope for America is God,” he said.
While Graham hasn't made any official presidential endorsements on his tour, he did have a message for voters.
"I'm not going to tell you who to vote for. I'm not going to do that. But I want you to vote for candidates who stand for biblical truth, biblical principles, who are willing to live them,” said Graham.
Graham pointed to the sanctity of life and the sanctity of marriage as some of those biblical principles. While Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick were in attendance, they didn't speak at the rally.
