BUFFALO, N.Y. -- If you head down to Canalside and see that Shark Girl is missing, don't worry, she's on vacation for a few weeks getting a little spruced up for her spring visitors.
The Albright Knox Art Gallery says Shark Girl was removed Friday morning to get some restoration work done. The gallery says the sculpture has no major damage but needs some reinforcements as a proactive step.
She'll return for spring, but no exact date has been given.
