SAN ANTONIO—A man convicted of killing his employer and his wife has been sentenced to two life sentences.

Billy Minh Tran accepted the plea deal in the capital murder case.

Tran worked for victim Robert Snyder at BGB Restaurant Services until he was fired for theft.  Court testimony showed Tran broke into the Snyder home three years ago. He then shot and killed his former boss and his boss' wife Beatriz. Tran confessed to the double murder. The prosecutor said the story is a senseless tragedy.

At the time of the murder, Tran was on parole for an aggravated robbery charge. The two sentences are stacked, effectively leaving the Vietnam native in prison for the rest of his life.
