You may have seen our new multi-media journalist Danielle Saar on Time Warner Cable News these past few weeks, but here's your chance to learn a little more about her.
Danielle has reported for TV news organizations across the country including stations in Colorado Springs and Los Angeles.
But Danielle is excited to call Austin home, and feels grateful to report news stories in a city she loves.
When Danielle isn't reporting the news, she can be found playing with her pup, Scamper.
Here are some other things you might not know about Danielle:
- My most memorable news story was at my very first TV job: I flew with the Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy's flight demonstration squadron in Redding, California. I didn't even turn green!
- My Hollywood celebrity crush is Conan O'Brien, and I got to meet him during a taping of the show! Cick to watch a video clip.
- Flying with the Blue Angels, and growing up in Los Angeles may have been scary, but the most frightening thing I've ever done in my life is perform stand-up comedy. It's the best feeling in the world, though.
- I love comedy. I perform improv at the Hideout Theater in Austin, and have taken classes at the Groundlings improv school in Los Angeles.
- My best friend and I were contestants on the game show "Shop 'Til You Drop." We won!
- My favorite animal is the camel. Specifically Dromedary camels.
- I grew up as a child actress in Los Angeles, which is why I am super normal now. One of the films I starred in, "I'm No Fool in Unsafe Places," was with Austin's own Elijah Wood, wherein he played Pinocchio and I had to teach him safety rules.
- My last name means "storm" in Hebrew.
- My favorite thing to do is ride my bike on the beach. Since I’m now in Texas, though, my NEW favorite thing to do is eat breakfast tacos. Both activities are equally relaxing.
- I'm stuck in the 90's. My favorite musicians are Alanis Morissette and Eddie Vedder.
