SAN ANTONIO -- Six Flags announced that three new rides will anchor its exciting new Fiesta Bay Boardwalk in 2016 at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

Six Flags says guests will find themselves looping, spinning, and soaring as they experience the new high-adrenaline thrills on Fireball, featuring a massive 7-story looping frenzy; Hurricane Force 5, where riders take on the power of a storm and swirl while soaring high into the air; and Spinsanity, the ultimate whirling adventure for daredevil riders.

Fireball:

  • Rocket forward-and-backward, ultimately suspended through a giant 7-story loop
  • 24 riders "face-off" as they are seated facing each other
  • Experience up to six inversions during the looping journey
  • Specially designed and vibrantly colored "hot-rod" style passenger train
  • Riders must be a minimum of 48 inches tall

Hurricane Force 5:

  • 24 riders rotate clockwise and counter-clockwise on a giant disc, while seated motorcycle-style facing outward
  • Hurricane-patterned in design, the giant disc also arcs side to side on an almost 5-story tall half-pipe track while rotating at 14 revolutions per minute
  • Riders must be a minimum of 48 inches tall

Spinsanity:

  • Modern adaptation of the classic Tilt-A-Whirl, in 2016 celebrating 90 years of delivering fast-paced, spinning excitement
  • New ride design provides more streamlined appearance, unobstructed views
  • Each car seats 4 adults or 6 children
  • Riders must be a minimum of 44 inches to ride alone; 36 inches tall with an adult

"The entire Fiesta Bay Boardwalk area at Fiesta Texas will undergo a spectacular transformation in 2016. The three incredible new attractions will bring completely new types of thrills for our guests, as will our new culinary and interactive games offerings," said Six Flags Fiesta Bay President Neal Thurman. "The new Boardwalk will have all the excitement and ambiance of a favorite seaside getaway."

New Fiesta Bay Boardwalk Amenities:
