Deputies were called to the Exxon Gas Station/McDonalds at Interstate 35 and Grand Avenue Parkway just after 5:30 p.m. Monday for a report of an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

While the deputies were taking a report from a woman there, dispatch got another call of a robbery in progress at the Q Mart at 1600 Wells Branch Parkway.

When deputies got to the Q Mart, they confronted Alegbeleye inside the store. He did not comply with officers and pulled out a gun. Deputies tried to use a stun gun on Alegbeleye, which they say did not seem to work, according to the sheriff's office.

When Alegbeleye raised a gun at deputies, one deputy fired at Alegbeleye, wounding him. Alegbeleye was taken to the hospital and treated before being taken to the Travis County Jail.

Deputies recovered a handgun from the Q Mart, and they found the credit card of the woman at the Exxon Gas Station/McDonalds in Alegbeleye's pocket.

The deputy involved is a 21-year veteran of the sheriff’s office. He will be assigned to administrative duties until the Internal Affairs investigation is complete.

Alegbeleye's bond has been set at $450,000.
