Wally Scott is thankful to be alive.
"I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart, and I want to give everybody a hug,” he said.
On Thursday, Scott got to meet the first responders who saved his life after he had a heart attack about a month ago during a spin class at a downtown gym.
An off-duty nurse happened to be in the class and used the gym's defibrillator to stabilize Scott's pulse.
"It is, it's very emotional to basically be clinically dead at one point and then have people save your life, and you get to meet 'em,” Scott said.
Scott left the hospital the next day. He's said he’s thankful to both the nurse and the defibrillator for saving his life.
