Williamson County sheriff's officials say Nancy Khan confided in a friend that she murdered her husband.
Officials say that along with physical evidence led to the murder charges against Khan in the death of her husband, Ali Khan, who was the general manager of Round Rock Kia. Deputies found him dead at his Round Rock home on Feb. 28.
Authorities say the Khans, who married on Dec. 14, had a history of domestic violence. They believe Khan shot her husband seven times and then went to the San Antonio area.
"I think initially she wanted law enforcement to think she was out of town, and when she came back, she discovered the body along with a co-worker from Round Rock Kia,” Fred Thomas with the Williamson County sheriff’s office said.
Khan is in the Williamson County jail on a $2 million bond. Officials say she's not talking to investigators.
