The new signature restaurant opened over the weekend, giving visitors their first glimpse inside.

Inspired by the yellow, banana-loving Minions from the “Despicable Me" and "Minions" films, the restaurant includes three dining rooms and lots of yellow.

The first dining room is themed to a restaurant kitchen with equipment, appliances and artwork of the Minions lining the walls. In the center, a sculpture depicts the Minions preparing the food.

The restaurant’s other dining rooms are themed to a break room for the Minions and one with rock ’n’ roll-inspired artwork.

Diners will find dishes named after or inspired by characters from the film franchise on the menu. The main items are a variety of “despite-bowls,” including Carl’s crispy cauliflower, Otto’s noodle bowl and Lucy’s top secret salmon. There also are sandwiches — Uncle Dru’s belly fillin pork sandwich and the steak & ’cheese ray’ sandwich, as well as desserts and specialty drinks.

Food can be ordered using mobile order through the Universal Orlando mobile app. The order will be delivered to your table when it’s ready.

In addition to Minion Cafe, Illumination Theater, the outdoor character meet-and-greet area near the front of the land, has soft-opened. Both Minions and characters from the movie “Sing” make appearances.

Bake My Day, the bakery with the massive pink cupcake on top of the building; Freeze Ray Pops, which sells colorful popsicles; and Pop-A-Nana, the stand with banana-flavored popcorn have also soft-opened.

Villian-Con Minion Blast, the new attraction coming to Minion Land, has not yet opened. Billed as “an interactive gaming experience,” Minion Blast will have guests compete against each other to see who has what it takes to become a member of the supervillain group, the Vicious 6.

Minion Blast is set to open this summer.
