CINCINNATI, Ohio — After being diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, musician Billy Joel has canceled all his scheduled concerts, including a September show in Cincinnati, according to a post on his website.

“This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision, and balance,” the post reads. “Under his doctor’s instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period. Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritizing his health. He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take the stage.”

The concert in Cincinnati had been scheduled for Sept. 20, 2025, at Paycor Stadium.

Ticket purchasers do not need to take any action to get their refund. It will be processed automatically to whatever was used to make the purchase.

“I’m sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding,” Joel said in the website post.
