LEBANON, Ohio — For those traveling in Warren County this Sunday, consider planning for some extra time on the road, as the Ohio Department of Transportation is warning that a super load is likely to have a “big impact on traffic.”

What You Need To Know

  • A super load traveling through Warren County Sunday is likely to impact traffic, ODOT warns

  • The load is a transformer headed to a power substation

  • It is more than 300 feet long and weighs 752,216 pounds

The 306-foot long load carrying a transformer to a power substation is also more than 16 feet tall and wide, weighing in at 752,216 pounds.

“The load will be escorted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol from Trader’s World on State Route 63 near I-75 to a power substation on Butterworth Road,” ODOT’s release reads.

Here’s the route they’ll be taking, if you wish to avoid these roads:

  • The load leaves Trader’s World at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday
  • It will go east on SR 63 to SR 741, turning south to I-71
  • It will take I-71 north, exiting at SR 48
  • It will head south until Foster-Maineville Road, turning west onto Sibcy Road
  • It will then make a turn north on Butterworth Road to arrive at the substation

“Motorists can expect long delays along the route as the rolling roadblock moves through,” the release reads. “There is no estimate on how long the trip is expected to last. State and federal regulations prohibit loads like this from moving at night.”
