Clouds will increase this evening ahead of our next weather-maker. Ahead of it, a disturbance passing to our north may clip the region with a spot shower in the evening, but most areas stay dry. Overnight, under clouds, lows will be in the low to mid-70s.

A weakening cluster of storms will progress east overnight, arriving in our region by daybreak tomorrow. While not expecting any storms to stay severe, a few showers and rumbles of thunder will be possible during tomorrow morning’s commute. We’ll see a lull midday, ahead of a more potent storm system.

A cold front will move east during the day tomorrow, triggering showers and thunderstorms along and ahead of it. There are some uncertainties regarding how widespread storms will become tomorrow afternoon in the St. Louis region. Depending on how the round of morning showers plays out and the speed of the front will determine the chances for later in the day. Temperatures will rise into the low to mid-80s. 

South and east of the metro has the best chance at seeing storms become severe. The main risks will include damaging winds, hail and a brief tornado. It’s best to have your notifications enabled, so you are prepared for inclement weather.

The entire system will move east tomorrow night as high pressure builds in behind it. Temperatures will drop into the upper 60s as skies become mostly clear. 

A big ridge of high pressure builds into the region by late week, bringing our first taste of summer in time for the solstice. Temperatures will range from the low to mid-90s Thursday through Sunday.
