The Syracuse Academy of Science will reopen tomorrow following the death of a staff member and carbon monoxide leak.
But before the doors officially open to students and staff again, parents and guardians are being encouraged to visit the school today. School officials say they have finalized the reinspection of the kitchen equipment, its ventilation system and the fire alarm system, and have installed a new carbon monoxide detection system.
The changes comes after staff member Brian Deforge was found dead in the school's cafeteria. That's when firefighters also found high levels of carbon monoxide, leading the school to close and shift to remote classes.
Parents are invited to check out the completed work and review certifications.
