Movies with a Downtown View
Downtown Definitely Events is bringing back this popular outdoor movie series for three nights this summer at Parcel 5. All screenings are free and family-friendly, with local food trucks and movie snacks on site. Films are shown on an 18-foot wide, 10-foot high LED video wall. Bring your own chairs and settle in; complimentary blankets will be available while supplies last. Friday night's film is "Sister Act."

MLK Rochester Juneteenth Parade and Festival
The Greater Rochester Martin Luther King Jr. presents the MLK Juneteenth Festival on Saturday. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. and the festival activities will begin at noon. The event will include the Juneteenth parade and festival, arts & crafts, educational exhibitions at the Strong National Museum, live entertainment featuring local and national artists, 50-60 vendors and community organizations. All are welcome to join in honoring freedom, culture and community.

The Fast and the Furriest
Everyone’s favorite pet event will take place on Saturday. The event will feature a 10K & 5K race, dog walk, free vaccination clinic and pet festival. New this year, the Furry Scurry 1K Kids Race. The pet festival will include live music, food trucks, sponsor giveaways, vendors, pet contests, local pet organizations and a variety of activities for you, your family and your pets. Albion Strawberry Festival
The Albion Strawberry Festival is a beloved annual event celebrating the strawberry harvest in Orleans County. Held in downtown Albion, the festival features a variety of activities for all ages, including a parade, live music, food vendors, craft booths and family-friendly entertainment. Highlights include the Amazing Turtle Race, the Strawberry Festival 5k/8k run, the longest-running race in the county and the Car Cruise-In. ADK Outdoor Expo
Presented by the Genesee Valley Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club and Monroe County Parks, the Outdoor Expo is a free and family-friendly event that is open to the public. There will be more than 30 demonstrations and workshops scheduled on topics including hiking, paddling, backpacking, camping, bicycling, gardening, trail running and birding. Local clubs and organizations are on-site to talk about their work, share their knowledge of the outdoors and provide a chance to try out the latest gear… including kayaks and canoes on the pond! There will be hikes on the park’s beautiful trails, crafts and a petting zoo for kids, live music from Golden Link Folk Singing Society and food/ice cream for purchase from Dave’s Sidewalk Café and Molly V’s.
