Blowing and drifting snow will continue on through today.
Wind gusts will still reach 40 to 50 mph through this afternoon.
Most communities will not see much in the way of snow, with many just seeing an additional coating to a few inches at most by this evening.
With strong winds, visibility will be reduced within any snow showers. That'll be especially true in the middle of that lake-effect snow band, where blizzard conditions will make travel nearly impossible from western Monroe County to Buffalo through tonight.
Cold temperatures combined with strong winds will make it feel more like it is below zero through much of the day.
By Christmas morning, snow will come to an end with lighter winds through the day.
