The National Weather Service in Buffalo confirmed a tornado moved through Livingston County Sunday night.

What You Need To Know

  • The tornado was rated an EF-1 with peak winds of 110 mph

  • It was on the ground for roughly 3 minutes

  • A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was in effect at the time

The tornado touched down at 12:57 a.m. before lifting just three minutes later.

The damage survey began near the town lines of Conesus and Springwater and proceeded east-southeast from there.

It was concluded that the tornado was on the ground for 0.8 miles with peak winds of 110 mph. That classifies it as an EF-1 tornado.

Damage began just to the west of Route 15, and continued through a wooded area crossing Marrowback Road.

From the beginning of the track, multiple trees were sheared off mid-trunk or uprooted.

The path of damage continued behind three houses along Route 15. Thankfully, those houses were left unscathed.

However, it did crush an outdoor shed and above ground pool. A trailer, boat and an antique plow were moved from their original spots as a result of the strong winds, as well.
