ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Concerns over the approaching winter storm are having an impact on holiday celebrations in Rochester.
The festivities at the Roc Holiday Village are being cut short. Thursday night will be the final night for the holiday festival at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park.
Friday's schedule at the village has been canceled so crews can pack the village away before high winds arrive.
"It's just not going to be a good day with the high winds and the blustery temperatures," said Kelli Marsh, Roc Holiday Village co-founder. "It's not safe for everyone to be outside that day."
Festival organizers are trying to schedule some of Friday's events for Thursday night.
