The Rochester Fringe Festival is returning in 2024. Organizers announced on Wednesday that the festival will take place Sept. 10-21.

Organizers also announced the dates for venue and show submissions. Those interested in producing and performing at the festival may submit their production proposals to various Rochester venues via backstage.rochesterfringe.com beginning on Feb. 13 at 9 a.m. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on March 21. Details regarding the submission process can also be found on the submissions page.

“Fringe audiences are hungry for new, inventive work and we encourage shows to apply early as venues curate on a rolling basis.” says Erica Fee, founding festival producer. “For 12 days, the Fringe creates palpable energy in Rochester. September can’t come soon enough!”

The full festival lineup will be announced and tickets will go on sale in mid-July. The exact date and details will be announced on the Fringe website and social media accounts.

The 12-day festival is the largest multidisciplinary performing arts festival in New York and one of the largest fringe festivals in the country.
