ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester holiday tradition returns Friday with the lighting of the Genesee Keg Tree.

The event will feature several food trucks and beer trucks at the Genesee Brew House, just off St. Paul Street in the High Falls area.

Construction of the Keg Tree took place last month in preparation for Friday's event, which always draws a large crowd. The tree is made up of 532 kegs reaching nearly three stories tall with close to 30,000 lights.

Genesee Brewing says it will also donate $1 from the sale of every Christmas Tree Ale this season to the Open Door Mission.

The Genesee Keg Tree will be lit at 5 p.m. Friday. If you miss the event, the Keg Tree will be lit through the beginning of January.
