GREECE, N.Y. — Live music returns to the stage at the fireman's field at Barnard Park in Greece. The Bands at Barnard concert series begins Wednesday, June 23. There will be live concerts once a week every week through August 25.

They’ve got quite a lineup scheduled. There’s classic rock, some 80s pop, southern rock and Bon Jovi, Eagles and Van Halen tribute bands. Bands at Barnard supports the Barnard Fire Department in Greece. It’s a combination of career firefighters and about 20 volunteer firefighters who provide fire and emergency coverage for 3 mi.² in Greece.

“We are excited to be doing this again especially having to take last year off due to COVID," said John Driscoll, from the Barnard Fire Department. "A lot of people are excited. We are getting a lot of positive feedback so far especially on our Facebook page at Bands at Barnard. So we are excited and hoping that everybody comes out and has a good time.”

They’ll have Barton’s Parkside Hots, Smokin’ Hot Chick’s BBQ, Carbone’s, kettle corn and of course cold beer, wine and soda. You can buy $10 advance tickets online. There are also $15 VIP tickets for a section close to the stage.
