Rochester area museums are reopening now that the region has entered Phase 4.
Each will have its own restrictions and safety precautions to keep guests safe.
The Strong National Museum of Play is set to reopen on Saturday, June 27. For the first two weeks, it will only be open to members. The Strong will open to the general public on July 11. Safety measures include plexiglass barriers, hand sanitizer, and social distancing protocols.
The Rochester Museum & Science Center is also set to reopen on Saturday, June 27, but will open immediately to the general public. Multiple changes have been made to keep visitors safe, including asking guests to purchase tickets in advance.
The Memorial Art Gallery reopens to members on Saturday, June 27 and will be open to the general public on July 8. New requirements for visitors can be found here.
The George Eastman Museum will remain closed until mid-July when construction of the new visitor center is complete. When the museum reopens, guests will be required to wear masks.
