ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Red Wings announced their 2022 schedule on Wednesday.

The club will open the season on the road on Tuesday, April 5 for a six-game series against the Toledo Mud Hens. They then head to Frontier Field for their home opener against the Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday, April 12.

The majority of series next year will be played over six games, with most of the team’s off days coming on Mondays.

The Red Wings will play out of their division for the first time since Triple-A East became a 20-team league, with scheduled home games against Toledo, Omaha and Norfolk, and road games against Toldeo, St. Paul and Columbus.

Some highlights of the schedule include a Memorial Day contest from Frontier Field against Buffalo on Monday, May 30, a Sunday home game July 3 against Worcester and a Fourth of July affair Monday at Lehigh Valley.

The final home games are set for September 13-18 against Lehigh Valley before the team wraps up the season in Buffalo for a three-game series scheduled for September 19-21.

Game times are yet to be announced.
