Major League Baseball set to start its 60-game season late next month. Teams are planning to re-start spring training in their home cities by July 1.

But what about the minor leagues?

Every level of the minors has been on hold since the beginning of April, and ultimately, any decision about their seasons will come from Major League Baseball.

Rochester Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason is expecting word soon on whether or not the Minnesota Twins' top affiliate will take the field this year.

"We're just still, to this day, in wait and see mode to hear from the major leagues on what's going to happen with the minor league's seasons," said Mason. "We just haven't heard yet. My optimism isn't very good that we will have a season this year. But, until we hear that officially, we're going to remain ready and have a slimmer of hope that we'll be able to play this year.

"Now that the major leagues have resolved their season and when it will start, we hope to hear something back from them regarding the minor league season in the next couple of days."
