The Buffalo Bisons played on Friday as scheduled despite damage caused to the Sahlen Field stadium by a fire.
Fire officials responded to the stadium after a call came in around 9 a.m. Friday reporting heavy smoke billowing from the building.
According to the Buffalo Bisons and fire officials, the fire broke out at a portable concession stand on the first base side of the lower concourse level. The fire was put out and no one was hurt.
Fire officials say damage from the fire is estimated at $600,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
