ROCHESTER, N.Y. — There are new developments on the building in downtown Rochester where the facade fell off Thursday.

Crews were out Friday afternoon and were able to knock off the rest of the siding that was coming off the building.

High winds appear to have caused the damage, according to first responders.

Chestnut Street has been closed off as well as the area around it until contractors could get in and make sure it was safe.

The building has been vacant since 2011.

Barriers are keeping the public away from the structure.
