ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Police Department has canceled an AMBER Alert that was put in effect Monday evening after they said a 14-year-old boy was abducted.

At the time, police said the teenager was in danger of serious harm or death, however, they now say he is safe and is with his family after being located at home.

According to investigators, the teen was reportedly taken on Myrtle Street around 4:30 p.m. Monday by multiple men wearing masks. Authorities were searching for a gold mid-sized SUV with white New York license plates.

Police say no further information will be released at this time.
