ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester Police officer was arrested Monday and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says Officer Dave Pearson, 41, of Geneseo, was charged as part of an ongoing investigation into thefts from a Home Depot on Jefferson Road in Henrietta exceeding $1,000.

The Rochester Police Department says Pearson, a 13-year RPD veteran, is currently out of work due to an injury and will not be returning to duty pending the results of the case.

Pearson was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Henrietta Town Court July 13.
