CHILI, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has relsed the name of a man killed when his SUV was struck by a tractor trailer in Chili on Wednesday.

The sheriff's office says first responders were called to the intersection of Beaver Road and Chili Scottsville Road around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday for a two-vehicle crash with serious injuries.

According to deputies, the driver of the blue SUV, Tome Srbinovski, 67, of Gates, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor trailer was not seriously hurt.

Police say Srbinovski stopped at the intersection, which is a four-way stop with flashing red light, and then proceeded north. The tractor trailer driver, however, did not stop and proceeded through the intersection striking the SUV, according to investigators. Both vehicles went off the road and ended up in a grassy area.

The tractor trailer driver was issued a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign. Deputies say drugs and alchol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
