ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester man accused of taking part in the January 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol made a virtual appearance in federal court.
Dominic Pezzola, 43, pleaded not guilty to 10 charges Tuesday. Among the charges against him is conspiracy, assault and obstruction of an official proceeding. He is accused of stealing a riot shield from Capitol Police, breaking a window at the Capitol and being one of the first protesters inside.
Pezzola remains in custody for now. He is due back in court on August 2.
