ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say a standoff on Tiernan Street that spanned multiple days is now over after the Monroe County S.W.A.T. Team was able to remove an individual from the home without any injuries to police or the male.
Tiernan Street off of Lake Avenue in the Charlotte area had been closed off since they learned there may be weapons in a home where they were asked to do a welfare check.
Police say the male was transported to Rochester General Hospital for evaluation and charges may be filed in the future.
Police say the roadways in the area will be open for public traffic shortly.
