ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester firefighters battled the elements while battling an overnight fire in the city.

A home on Jay Street caught fire around 3:30 a.m. Friday, according to fire officials.

When firefighters arrived, they were able to make sure the two people home at the time were able to get out safely. 

One firefighter suffered a burn to his leg. No one else was injured. 

Investigators aren't yet sure what started the fire.
