The driver behind a single-car crash was killed Wednesday evening in Rochester, the Rochester Police Department has confirmed.
Rochester police responded to a single-car crash off Culver Road near Lakeshore Boulevard around 5:30 p.m., where witnesses say the driver, an adult male, drove his gray Chevrolet westbound on Sweet Fern Road. Medical personnel believe the driver had a medical event about a quarter-mile from Culver Road and struck a tree.
No one else was injured and no other cars were involved.
The driver was transported to Rochester General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released.
The medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death at a later date.
