Some of the chaos that errupted in downtown Rochester on Saturday spread from the Public Safety Building to other areas of the city. It followed protests over the arrest and death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
The crowds eventually made their way to the Liberty Pole. There, cars and people surrounded the entrance of Villa, a shoe store at the corner of East Main Street and Franklin Street.
The front door was broken in and there was debris scattered as people ran from the area carrying whatever items they could grab.
