A Rochester man has been arrested in connection with a deadly hit and run crash in February.
Rochester police investigators and the U.S. Marshals Office located Shannon Melvin, 27, at an address in the Bronx, New York City. He was transported to the Rochester Police Department and charged with two felonies for leaving the scene of an accident which resulted in a death and an injury without reporting it. Melvin also had an active warrant for a probation violation.
Rochester police say Melvin left the scene of a crash on Lake Avenue on February 20 in which Christopher Wilson (pictured) was seriously hurt. Wilson later died from his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle in which Wilson was riding suffered a leg injury.
A passenger riding in Melvin's vehicle was treated for minor injuries.
