Former Rochester City Court Judge Leticia Astacio has been released from jail.

The Monroe County District Attorney's Office confirms her release and said she is no longer on probation.

Astacio was sentenced to six months in jail in November after she pleaded guilty to missing probation appointments. She was also accused of failing to abstain from using or possessing alcoholic beverages.

The former judge has been on probation since she was convicted of DWI in 2016. She was later removed from her seat on the court by the New York State Court of Appeals.

Astacio had been accused of violating her probation before, most notably when she was accused of trying to buy shotgun at a local Dick's Sporting Goods store. She was found not guilty in that case and was allowed to keep her law license. She continued to work as an attorney until she was sentenced to jail time.

Following Astacio's release and termination of her probation, her case is now officially closed.
