The East Irondequoit School District said it has identified the student behind a false bomb threat that forced evacuations at the high school last week.

The district informed parents and staff this weekend that the investigation is over and the student will be disciplined.

Parents received a robocall from the district Friday morning informing them of a threat made to the school. The students were placed on buses and transported to the Culver Ridge Plaza parking lot where they were joined by Irondequoit police.

School leaders are asking parents to talk to their kids about how serious it is to make a false threat. It's something that will also be addressed in school as well.

The student, whose identity has not been made public, is expected to face consequences under the district's code of conduct and will have to pay back the response costs for the incident.
