Assemblyman David Gantt is recovering after he was in a car crash Thursday night.

Gantt's office released a statement saying several people were injured in the accident.
It says both parties were ticketed but alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Rochester police say the crash happened on Central Park near North Union Street around 7:30 p.m.
They say a Dodge Van was traveling east when it was struck by a distracted driver of a four door Sedan.
Four people inside the Dodge Van were taken to RGH for their injuries and then released.
The driver of the Sedan was issued a citation for disobeying a traffic control device.
The driver of the Dodge was issued a citation for being an unlicensed operator and failure to wear a seatbelt.
