Rochester police announced an arrest Saturday morning in the connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Rochester's South Wedge neighborhood.
Tiffany Rutledge, 30 of Rochester, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident that caused death to another — a class D felony.
Rutledge is the accused drive in a fatal hit-and-run that occurred at the intersection of South Avenue and Comfort Street around 10 p.m. Monday.
The victim, 60-year-old Tommy Jones, was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Police say Mr. Jones was crossing South Avenue in a properly marked pedestrian crosswalk, in which drivers are supposed to yield, according to state law.
Police officials say no further arrests are expected in connection to this investigation.
Rutledge was arraigned Saturday morning where she pleaded not guilty. Bail was set at $1,500 cash, $3,000 bond and she's scheduled to return to court May 31.
