Rep. Joe Morelle has won a third full term in Congress, the Associated Press projects, defeating Republican challenger La’Ron Singletary.
Morelle will return to Washington to represent the Rochester area in the 25th Congressional District seat, which encompasses all of Monroe County and five towns on the eastern border of Orleans County.
Morelle serves as a member of the House Committee on Appropriations, the House Committee on Rules and the House Committee on Budget.
He will be sworn in on Jan. 3 as a member of the 118th Congress.
