Greg Pollak is a meteorologist at Spectrum News 1 in New York and Massachusetts.
Greg has been interested in meteorology ever since he was 10 years old, and he loves talking about it to a vast audience. He earned his bachelor's degree at the University at Albany where he studied broadcast meteorology and business and geography.
After college, Greg reported on weather in upstate New York, New Jersey, North Dakota, Massachusetts and Texas. While reporting in San Antonio, Greg had the opportunity to cover the Texas winter storm in February 2021, a devastating and surreal experience. Greg felt rewarded by giving viewers the vital information they needed to stay safe.
Having lived in the Capital Region for a quarter of his life, Greg knew it was where he wanted to raise a family. Greg loves the comradery, culture, and food of the area. When he’s not at work, you can find Greg hanging out in Thatcher Park with his wife and two children, cheering on his beloved Mets, or playing a game of pickleball.
